The Landtagswahl in Sachsen-Anhalt 2026 results from ZDF show the AfD holding 44.0% while the FDP secured only 2.4% and got excluded alongside other parties with 4.2%. This means 6.4% of all votes are gone, leaving a pool of 93.6% for eligible parties like BSW which sits right at the 5% line. To grab a majority you need more than 46.8% of what remains, so the AfD needs another 2.8% or higher to win. If the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance drops below that 5% threshold they vanish too, which shrinks the vote pool even further and makes a majority harder to reach. The math here hinges entirely on whether BSW stays above the cut-off.
