    BestBrokers compiled the latest counts for billion-dollar companies across Asia and nearby regions, revealing Japan leading with 404 firms while India sits second at 348. China follows in third place with 216, then Saudi Arabia rounds out the top tier at 98. Hong Kong comes next with 91, followed closely by South Korea at 78 and Taiwan at 77. Israel holds the eighth spot with 70, and the United Arab Emirates brings up the rear of the double digits with 62. Thailand has 52, Singapore is right behind at 51, and Malaysia adds 37 to the regional total. Indonesia contributes 36, Türkiye adds 35, and Vietnam brings 34 more to the list. Qatar and Kuwait both sit at 25, New Zealand reaches 23, Russia has 15, and the Philippines accounts for 14.
