The idea of Sergio Agüero and Leo sharing a pitch was always the dream, yet it never happened. Manchester City made moves to bring Lionel Messi in while Agüero pushed him toward Barça, but the two legends never actually trained together during that era. Messi had promised Agüero they would link up soon before he left for a new chapter, telling him not to worry about the timing. The reality hit hard when Agüero was hanging out with Ibai and they stumbled across news on social media that Leo was departing the club. He couldn't believe what he saw and immediately texted Messi to ask if it was true, getting a straight confirmation back. Agüero admits he was completely stunned and didn't know how to react to the situation. A few days later, seeing Messi in person revealed just how sad he was. Agüero tried to lighten the mood with jokes, but the moment his thoughts returned, Messi got upset again. It caused real disappointment for Agüero knowing he missed the chance to play alongside him. When Messi finally left, he offered the number 10 jersey to Agüero as a gesture. He declined the offer because he felt no one should wear that number if Messi wasn't there to support it. #SergioAguero
