so the idea is that empty industrial spots from closed factories get filled with refugees instead. a former BMW site at Moosacher Straße 51 in Münchner Norden is set up for 600 people by 2027 where there used to be office space. locals are pushing back hard and started a petition because they say there are no kindergarten or school spots left and doctors can't take anyone else. they worry about crime rising since some live well while others are packed in tight. still wondering if every factory closing down can just become housing like this.
