Kaiju No. 8 reaches 20 million copies

20 Million copies in circulation for Kaiju No. 8, counting the 16 main volumes, digital releases, and spin-offs. Naoya Matsumoto's sci-fi battle action series drops us into a world where giant kaiju attacks keep terrorizing humanity, and a specialized squad of powerful fighters gets deployed to handle them. The lead is a middle-aged guy on a clean-up crew dealing with the aftermath of those devastating attacks, even though he's secretly got his sights set on joining the Anti-Kaiju Fighter Squad instead of staying on cleanup duty. His hope was almost gone, but then he picked up the ability to turn into a kaiju himself, and suddenly that dream of being in the fighter squad doesn't look so far off.
