Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 beta Steam backlash

Steam's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta is getting hammered, with over 60% of reviews negative. Player numbers tanked from roughly 115,000 down to 16,000 at the lowest point. The movement system and fast time-to-kill are the big complaints, but the graphics and gunplay are winning praise. Can Infinity Ward turn this around?
