Gabriel Jesús joins Barcelona

Gabriel Jesús is officially a Barça player, but the real story isn't just the signing, it's who he's walking into. The Brazilian striker has landed in a squad packed with familiar faces from his past, which might smooth out his transition significantly. Rodri and Gabriel Jesus were teammates at Manchester City for three seasons, so that connection is already there. Then there's João Cancelo, who previously shared a dressing room with Gabriel Jesus in England back when they were both playing over there. Eric García is also a former teammate of Gabriel Jesus who will be on the same team again, adding another layer of familiarity. Even Raphinha was a teammate of Gabriel Jesus on the Brazil National Team, bringing that international bond to the club setup. Gabriel Jesus is joining as the new number nine forward, stepping into a locker room where he doesn't have to start from scratch.
