    Stanley Zhong Google hire

Stanley Zhong's family is pushing forward a Title VI discrimination lawsuit against the University of Washington after he was rejected by 16 colleges despite scoring 1590 on the SAT and holding a weighted GPA of 4.42. The federal judge ruling permits the case to move ahead, which means internal admissions documents, communications, and data can now be discovered. Stanley Zhong ended up securing full-time employment as a software engineer at Google right after high school graduation, while the university says it is pleased with the dismissal of many claims in the case. Officials at the University of Washington assert their admissions process remains highly competitive, especially for out-of-state candidates, even as the suit alleges bias against highly qualified Asian-American applicants. #Google
