Phil Jones United corner duties

phil jones tells the story of how he got stuck with corner duties during louis van gaal's time at united. it happened right after training when wayne rooney headed off for a massage while the team was prepping to play qpr. the strikers were already working on their timing for attacking balls from corners and free kicks so jones stepped up and said he would go out and take some himself. he claims every single one he delivered that session was on the money. van gaal turned around, shouted 'jones! can you take them?' and started clapping which meant jones was officially on corner duties the very next day. the funny part came on game day when jones ran over to take the corners and could see all the qpr fans chuckling and laughing at him. he had to put his hands up as well because honestly the situation was just too ridiculous.
