Will Ospreay clarified to arielhelwani that he cannot speak on 2022 because he was not present, but he was definitely backstage for the CM Punk and Jack Perry incident at AEW All In 2023. He described sitting there mentally rehearsing his match, focused on getting every detail right, when a sudden commotion broke out. His first assumption was that they were simply cutting a promo. He decided to get out of dodge immediately. As he moved, he saw Punk walk past him and instantly realized what was actually happening. Ospreay found the situation funny in retrospect. He noted that while you obviously read stuff on the internet, seeing it unfold in front of you is different. His immediate internal reaction was just, "Oh, that's lame." Despite that moment, he stated that every time he has come here it has been super enjoyable.
