Mother arrested for allegedly eating son in Australia

A damning 2024 audit exposed how an ineffective and unstable child protection system is failing to protect tens of thousands of vulnerable children in the state. Against that backdrop, a mother suffering from a psychotic disorder allegedly killed and ate her four-year-old son in New South Wales, Australia, in July of this year. Investigators stated that the department responsible for child safety received multiple reports concerning the boy before his own mother allegedly ended his life. The minister confirmed that alerts about the four-year-old were repeatedly sent to services prior to the murder. Alongside this confirmation, the minister announced an inquiry into the department's actions regarding this specific case. PAKPIVOT reports on the arrest. Protect the children!
