Sebastian Abreu recalls Ronaldinho at Grêmio

Sebastian Abreu is opening up about his time with Ronaldinho at Grêmio and what really happened on the pitch. He says Ronaldinho was his substitute there, arriving in the second half to take over. Abreu explains that the first 45 minutes were all about running, colliding, and wearing down the opponent so Ronaldinho could come on fresh. When he did arrive, the game changed completely. He brought unique energy and a desire to do something different, with magic in his feet while the other team was already tired. One of his plays was enough to make the stadium crash down. Abreu notes they faced each other several more times later with national teams and clubs, and it was always pure talent and contagious joy. They met again when Ronaldinho played for Atlético Mineiro and their relationship stayed good. Ronaldinho even invited him to a birthday party, but Abreu couldn't go because they had early training the next day. He lived in Barra, so going out at that hour meant arriving destroyed the next day. Still, Abreu says Ronaldinho didn't need a party to shine. If you saw him smiling the next day, you knew everything was fine, probably because he had done his thing the night before.
