US White Population % by Year

White Population in the United States (% of Total Population) hit 87.5% back in 1970. By 1980 it was down to 83.1%, then 80.3% in 1990. The 2000 count dropped further to 75.1%. In 2010, the number sat at 72.4%. Fast forward to 2020 and we see 61.6%. There is a projection for 2025 that puts it at 72.3%. Source: U.S. Census Bureau.
