NFTs are inevitable whether studios admit it or not. Right now every skin, card, character, and item bought in-game belongs to the studio and can be reset whenever they want. Switching to NFTs means players permanently own their purchases instead of renting access that disappears on a whim. Triple A studios might resist adopting this tech until they have no choice because forcing them to do so shifts power back to the people who actually paid for these items.
