Jerry Buss bought the Los Angeles Lakers in May 1979 and the Buss family era has been historic. Since that purchase, the team sits at.605 win percentage, which is first in the NBA. They also lead the league with 305 playoff wins, 11 championships, and 6 MVP winners. Magic Johnson took home 3 MVPs while with the Lakers, as did Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Shaq won an MVP in 2000, and Kobe Bryant added one in 2008. #MagicJohnson
