Top 15 Happiest Countries in Europe 2026

The World Happiness Report 2026 just dropped the Top 15 Happiest Countries in Europe and the spread is tight. Finland takes the top spot with a score of 7.764, followed by Iceland at 7.540 and Denmark just behind at 7.539. Sweden rounds out the top five alongside Norway at 7.242 and the Netherlands at 7.223. Luxembourg sits in seventh place with 7.063 while Switzerland comes in eighth at 7.018. Ireland holds the ninth rank with 6.928 and Belgium is right there at 6.926 for tenth. Kosovo breaks into the list at number eleven with a score of 6.910. Germany lands twelfth with 6.882 and Slovenia follows closely at 6.868 for thirteenth. Austria makes it fourteen with 6.845 and Czechia closes out the top fifteen with 6.821.
