Kyrsten Sinema has admitted under oath to having an affair with Matthew Ammel, her married security guard. She says it began around Memorial Day 2024 at an Airbnb in Napa, and they also met up in New York, Washington, Aspen, and Phoenix. Sinema knew Ammel was married with three children. His ex-wife, Heather Ammel, discovered the affair through messages, including one where Sinema said she missed waking up and reaching over for his arms. Heather is suing Sinema, alleging the affair contributed to the end of their 14-year marriage. Sinema is seeking dismissal, arguing the relationship occurred outside North Carolina and the court lacks jurisdiction.
