Rosario Central statement on Hugo racism claim

Rosario Central really dropped a statement about the racism call in the Libertadores match and it's something else. They're saying visiting fans pulled racist, discriminatory, and provocative stuff like flashing national currency as a dig at their country plus someone had a Spain jersey in the stands. Club says that's inadmissible and they're passing evidence to CONMEBOL because these incidents keep happening against certain Brazilian sides. They also want CONMEBOL to check things out and get the referee to hand over proof of the alleged racist insults Hugo claimed during the game. But here's the thing, the club points out Hugo made that call when his team was down to ten players and Central was pushing forward with the crowd behind them. Fact check note says Hugo's denunciation came at the 21st minute of the second half while the expulsion happened at the 35th. Rosario's stance is that discrimination is too serious to be used as a sporting convenience trick and they're ready to call out anyone doing that. They also admit they haven't found footage showing what happened in that stadium sector when Hugo made the complaint. The club is running an internal investigation into any violence or discrimination tied to the match and says if any of their own fans are caught up in something punishable they'll come down hard. They're worried about a pattern where some clubs try to gain an edge through impunity and intimidation by constantly threatening denunciations. Wild stuff
