Federico Valverde on Alexis Sánchez

Federico Valverde opened up about his trial days at Arsenal, recalling how isolated he felt as a kid with big dreams trying to prove himself at a European club. He described himself as nobody back then, just hoping to give his best during the tryout. Amidst that pressure, Alexis Sánchez stood out as one of the very few teammates who actually approached him to offer help. Valverde emphasized that they connected in Spanish, along with Emiliano Martínez, which made a huge difference. He stated he has said it rarely but always appreciated that gesture from Sánchez. The midfielder made it clear that he will remain forever grateful for that support when he was just a hopeful youngster navigating a tough trial environment.
