David De Gea donuts story with Sir Alex Ferguson

🚨🗣️ David De Gea [on the time the papers accused him of stealing from a supermarket]: "What a story! They accused me of stealing some donuts. Sir Alex Ferguson had a training session scheduled that day. As I was going to the training center, this story appeared in the papers with my photo. And then it was on television too. I was speechless: they were accusing me of stealing… some donuts from a market in Manchester! In England it's like that, it seemed like the end of the world. That was all anyone was talking about, over a donut. Clearly it wasn't true, they even apologized to me. But to give you an idea of what a father Sir Alex Ferguson was: that day he entered the locker room in silence, serious, and took out a box of donuts and put them on the table. 'Take David,' he said to me. We all burst out laughing. A simple gesture that makes you feel at home with the team."
