Memphis Depay Corinthians court claim

Memphis Depay is heading to court in a major dispute with CORINTHIANS. The Dutchman could claim up to R$ 180 MILLION from the club. Current debt stands at R$ 77 million, yet his staff seeks the full value of a renewal deal the president of Timão refused to sign. Memphis previously agreed to settle the debt at R$ 42 million. He waived interest and fines during those contract renewal talks. After that proposal faced rejection, the player shifted demands to receive the full R$ 77 million. Career managers assess that a binding agreement existed between both parties. Evidence includes emails and documents showing Corinthians accepted draft terms for the renewal. The player even underwent medical exams as part of the process. The club states it feels supported by the decision not to sign the document. Via
