Jack Mook adoption courtroom photo

Jack Mook spent his days as a Pittsburgh cop and his nights coaching boxing at a local gym. That’s where he met Josh and Jessee, two brothers who kept showing up and putting in the work. He became a steady presence in their corner, but then they vanished. Mook went looking and uncovered the truth: the boys were bouncing through the foster system, landing in conditions that were anything but safe. Without overthinking it, the guy who swore he loved his bachelor life opened his home. The plan was a temporary roof, but it didn’t stay temporary. In 2014, a judge signed the papers and Josh and Jessee officially became his sons. The gym mentor turned into a full-time dad, and the boys reshaped everything. Mook later got married and gained three stepchildren, building a family that started with two kids who just needed someone to stay. His story took off online, not because it was flashy, but because it was real
