The Mexican Football Federation is deeply unhappy with Gianni Infantino. The FMF had been confident of landing the 2029 Club World Cup, but reports gaining traction point to Morocco getting the nod from FIFA. The reason being floated is that Infantino wants to lock in Morocco’s support ahead of the next FIFA presidential election. Mexico feels particularly burned because the FMF stood by Infantino unconditionally during his public battles with UEFA and other football bodies, and they see this as his way of repaying them. #GianniInfantino #FIFA
