Pre-sales for The Odyssey are chugging along in China ahead of its AUG 14 FRI opening day. The limited previews on SAT AUG 08 and SUN AUG 09 did $1.2M and $805k, and the 4-day cume for the AUG 08-AUG16 window now sits at $3.2M. Add the $708k from the AUG 01 & 02 previews and it’s already banked $3.9M. Right now only 17k screenings are open for booking on AUG 14, and the daily pre-sale tallies are $585k for FRI, $380k for SAT, and $240k for SUN, so there’s plenty of room for those to fatten up. Audiences are giving it 8.3⭐️, which puts it ahead of Free Guy, TENET, and even F1 in early word-of-mouth. The chatter is it could genuinely challenge TENET as the biggest Nolan hit in China and maybe even dethrone F1 or Free Guy as the top non-franchise Hollywood flick. #Gaming
