Abdülkadir Ömür’s journey has taken another turn. After lifting the trophy with Trabzonspor in the 2022-2023 season, he was on Manchester City’s radar. They put a record offer on the table, roughly 23 million Euros, but club president Ahmet Ağaoğlu looked past it. The bid landed while Yusuf Yazıcı was also on the move, and Ağaoğlu wasn’t willing to stretch the squad too thin. Injuries followed and Ömür’s performances dipped, but a switch to Hull City eventually came together. Their promotion to the Premier League has him feeling grateful: "ALLAH GAVE ME A SECOND CHANCE FOR THE PREMIER LEAGUE."
