Francesco Totti turned down Manchester United back in 2007. Before the match, Sir Alex Ferguson called De Rossi Roma's most dangerous player, and when asked about Totti, said he didn't know him. Totti's response was that he'd make Ferguson know him on the pitch. United won that one 7-1.
