Béla Guttmann Benfica curse

Béla Guttmann led Benfica to back-to-back European titles in 1961 and 1962, but when his pay raise request was denied, he left with a warning: "100 yıl boyunca Avrupa kupası kazanamayacaksınız." More than 60 years later, the curse still holds. Benfica have lost all 8 European finals since, 5 in the Champions League, 3 in the UEFA/Europa League. Even Eusébio visiting Guttmann's grave to pray couldn't break it. #Eusebio #SLBenfica
