Tom Holland Timothée Chalamet Spider-Man audition

Tom Holland thinks Timothée Chalamet could've been a great Spider-Man, saying he'd bring more emotion and a brooding edge to Peter Parker. Before Holland got the part, Chalamet auditioned twice for the MCU role. He walked out sweating in a total panic, then called his agent Brian Swardstrom to beg for a third read. The studio was unsettled by the move, and his agent warned it could ruin his reputation. Chalamet also struggled with the athletic stunts, defaulting to ballet-style moves, while Holland's gymnastics and dance training from Billy Elliot the Musical helped him nail a standing backflip in the suit during his screen test. Holland joked, 'And you know... maybe I got Dune.'
