Countries That Were Once the Same Nation

It's wild how many countries used to be one nation. For example, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan were all part of the Soviet Union. Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Slovenia used to be Yugoslavia. Czechoslovakia split into Czechia and Slovakia. India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh were British India. Sudan and South Sudan were once Sudan. Ethiopia and Eritrea were the same country. Indonesia and Timor-Leste were Indonesia. Malaysia and Singapore were Malaysia. Ireland and the United Kingdom were once the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland. And North and South Korea were just Korea.
