A new infographic from Data of Statistics ranks the most spoken languages worldwide in 2025. Topping the list is English with 1,528 million speakers, followed by Mandarin Chinese at 1,184 million. Hindi comes in third with 609.1 million, Spanish fourth with 558.5 million, and Arabic (Standard) fifth with 334.8 million. French ranks sixth at 311.9 million, Bengali seventh with 284.3 million, Portuguese eighth at 266.6 million, Russian ninth with 253.4 million, and Indonesian rounds out the top ten. The data is sourced from Ethnologue (2025).
