    World's largest copper reserves by country

    A new infographic from the U.S. Geological Survey (2026) reveals which countries hold the largest copper reserves in the world, measured in metric tons. Chile leads with 180 million metric tons, followed by Australia at 100 million, Peru with 85 million, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Russia both at 80 million. Mexico has 53 million, the United States 47 million, China 41 million, Poland 33 million, Indonesia and Zambia each with 21 million, and Kazakhstan round out the list. The data comes from the U.S. Geological Survey's 2026 report.
