A new anime awards show called 'TOKYO ANIME NEXT' has been officially announced, scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 2, 2026. George Wada of WIT Studio and Production I.G stated, "We want to judge, recognize, and give awards to the anime in Japan, by the Japanese people." The event will be hosted by a coalition of anime studios.
