The Romanian population in Spain saw explosive growth between 2000 and 2010. Starting at just 6,410 in 2000, the numbers climbed steadily: 31,641 in 2001, 67,279 in 2002, 137,320 in 2003, 207,960 in 2004, 317,307 in 2005, 407,159 in 2006, 527,286 in 2007, 731,806 in 2008, 798,892 in 2009, and 831,235 in 2010.
