On June 29, 2000, Patrick Kluivert missed a penalty for the Netherlands in the Euro semifinals. Fast forward to June 29, 2026, and his son Justin Kluivert did the same in a World Cup round of 16 match. Both hit the left post, both saw the Netherlands eliminated, and both happened on the exact same date, 26 years apart. A bizarre and almost poetic piece of football history.
