Supergirl box office opening weekend

Negative word of mouth is hitting Supergirl hard, with little chance left for the film to meet the industry's $50 million domestic box office projections. The opening Friday brought in just $18 million, which is softer than expected when compared to similar superhero releases: Dark Phoenix ($14M), Morbius ($17.3M), Joker: Folie à Deux ($20.3M), and The Marvels ($21.6M).
