Holiday weekend actuals came in higher for Masters of the Universe, giving it the best hold so far at the US box office. Despite mixed word of mouth, He-Man earned $6.2 million over its third three-day weekend, marking a drop of just 31.1% from the previous frame,even after losing a shocking 1,160 theaters on Friday. The film's domestic total now stands at $57.5 million.
