Michael Jackson biopic Russia box office

Michael Jackson's biopic 'Michael' continues to show incredible legs at the Russian box office, earning another $3.2 million in its third 4-day weekend , a drop of just -6.2% from the previous weekend. The film added $880k on Sunday alone across 1,277 theaters (a net increase of 28 venues), bringing its total cume to $14.6 million and 1.9 million admissions. This performance puts it just slightly behind the local debut of 'Kholop 3,' which opened to $3.6 million over the same 4-day frame. If the film can keep weekly drops under -20% from here, it has a strong chance of surpassing the $25 million mark. Current projections estimate a final run between $22 million and $28 million in Russia.
