World Cup impact on US box office

Historically, the World Cup has always had an impact on the global box office, and even on the U.S. box office to a lesser extent. Remember, the Latino demographic has been a driving force at the U.S. box office, especially for horror and family films, and on game days, theaters lose most of that demographic's attendance. On top of that, soccer has grown in popularity in the U.S. across all demographics over the last decade, and with the country actually hosting this World Cup, the level of interest and viewership should naturally be bigger than ever before. Consequently, the impact on the box office could also be significantly higher than ever before, even if it's still a much lower impact compared to what happens in the rest of the world, especially in Europe and Latin America. #Brazil
