The international action film "The Furious" is generating strong buzz, with critics praising it and audiences who have seen it embracing it. Despite opening in far fewer theaters than "In the Grey," it could debut higher at the U.S. box office. The Hong Kong R-rated action movie earned $1.4 million on its opening Friday across just 1,744 theaters, marking one of the biggest opening days for an international film in 2026. It is projected to bring in $3 million to $4 million over its three-day opening weekend in the U.S.
