Wesley Sneijder has opened up about his time at Real Madrid. He said that while playing there he dove far too deeply into nightlife and alcohol. In a city like Madrid it was simply too easy to fall under the spell of money and fame. He reached the point where he was on the verge of losing his entire career when Inter and Jose Mourinho called him. Moving to Italy ended up saving both his life and his career.
