Blake Monroe on Asuka WWE

During a discussion with Vicente Beltran, Blake Monroe shared her admiration for Asuka and placed the veteran among the finest talents in women's wrestling anywhere. She recalled seeing Asuka compete right after claiming victory in the Royal Rumble against Charlotte Flair and being struck by how remarkable the performance was. Monroe believes the star's move to WWE strengthened the entire women's division, first raising the level inside the NXT locker room and later doing the same once she reached the main roster. Although she has no insight into Asuka's current mindset or any choices about the future, Monroe said she would welcome the chance to share the ring with her at some point. The possibility that this chapter could be ending leaves her feeling disappointed, yet she continues to hold great respect for the long and successful run Asuka has enjoyed, describing the overall body of work as truly outstanding.
