Rico Details Request For Raise From Vince McMahon

Rico explained that requesting additional compensation from Vince McMahon ultimately caused him to be let go from the company. He described approaching Vince after fulfilling the terms of his initial three year contract as a newcomer. By that point he had won the tag team titles on two separate occasions, partnering first with Rikishi and then with Charlie Haas. He participated in nearly every event and made regular appearances on television broadcasts. When he asked for a weekly salary of one thousand dollars, he noted that his minimum pay at the time amounted to approximately seventy five thousand dollars each year. This amount did not account for extra income sources such as royalties from merchandise, payments for pay per view events, royalties from video games, or sales of dolls. Rico felt he deserved an increase of fifty two thousand dollars added to his existing seventy five thousand dollar base because of his efforts. He also mentioned that he along with Charlie and Jackie Gayda were preparing to feature on the cover of the SmackDown magazi
