@noah_paintsIdk man, exposing for the edge leaves it too dark and the face just rises out of the shadow instead of getting lit at you. frames are below

Low-key portrait lighting critique

About this photo
A close-up black-and-white portrait focuses on a woman’s face, her left eye sharply defined with dramatic winged eyeliner and glossy lips partially visible. She peers over the edge of a thick, dark textured coat or scarf that obscures her mouth and nose, set against a dreamy nighttime background of glowing bokeh lights. The mood is mysterious, elegant, and cinematic with high-contrast chiaroscuro lighting that highlights her smooth skin and sculpted brow. The intense, direct gaze and the soft luminous orbs create a striking, almost hypnotic visual pull.
