Kansas 94 year Democratic senator drought

@not_a_newt🇺🇸‼️ TRUMP FLIPPED A 94 YEAR OLD RED STATE Democrats flipped 7 Republican Senate seats! Last Democratic Senate win in each state: - Kansas: 1932, 94 years ago - Texas: 1988 (Bentsen) - Maine: 1988 (Mitchell) - South Carolina: 1998 (Hollings) - Iowa: 2008 (Harkin) - North Carolina: 2008 (Hagan) - Ohio: 2018 (Brown, who won again) - Alaska, Mississippi, Nebraska still uncalled People don’t realize how bad it is. Kansas was so red nobody ever thought anything can flip it to the Dems. Yet Trump did. -> To be clear, Democrats did not win by great messaging. They did nothing new basically. TRUMP LOST IT! Trump lost the people and they voted Democrat because the voters felt betrayed.

    About this photo

Kansas is the focus of this data visualization graphic showing the longest current streaks without electing a Democratic US senator. A horizontal bar chart lists seven states with blue and gray bars indicating years since their last Democratic Senate win, from Kansas at 94 years in 1932 to Ohio at 8 years in 2018. The mood is straightforward news infographic style with clean sans-serif typography, a light background, and source notes from NBC News at the bottom. Notable details include the asterisk next to Maine and the small footnote explaining Independent Angus King, plus the @MyLordBebo watermark in the corner. On-screen text includes the title "Kansas last elected a Democratic senator in 1932", subtitle "Senate seats Democrats flipped on Nov. 3: years since last Democratic win", state names Kansas, Texas, Maine*, South Carolina, Iowa, North Carolina, Ohio, all the year and name labels such as "94 yrs 1932, George McGill", "38 yrs 1988, Lloyd Bentsen", and the source line "Source: NBC News, U.S. Senate historical
