@terrymillerReflect Orbital ran tests on artificial sunlight tech in California, simulating how mirror-equipped satellites could light up Earth regions at night. Astronomers are criticizing the move, warning it may worsen light pollution and significantly disrupt ground-based astronomy.

A lone diamond-shaped spacecraft with a white four-pointed star logo hovers in the foreground above Earth's atmosphere. The craft is positioned in orbit with the planet's curved blue horizon, scattered clouds, and the blackness of space filling the background. The image has a cinematic, realistic sci-fi style with high contrast between the bright white spacecraft and the deep blues and blacks of the Earth and space. The spacecraft's symmetrical design and sharp geometric form stand out dramatically against the planetary backdrop.
