About this photo
The focus is a close-up portrait of Iranian-born politician and former activist Masoumeh Ebtekar, recognizable by her signature pleated black headscarf. She is looking slightly off-camera with a composed, neutral expression and red lipstick, wearing a black blazer over a white collared shirt. The mood is formal and documentary-style, captured outdoors in what appears to be an official or press setting with two uniformed officers partially visible in the blurred background. Her intricately pleated and layered hijab stands out as the most visually notable element against the muted urban backdrop. No on-screen text, watermarks, or chyrons are visible.
