@humble.crownThe numbers are finally in for Christopher Nolan's THE ODYSSEY. It officially crossed $1.8 billion at the global box office yesterday, making it the very first Universal Pictures film to hit that specific threshold. That performance also slots it right into the second highest-grossing film of the year spot. UniversalPics just made some serious history.

A bearded warrior in a red-plumed helmet and dark armor runs forward with sword drawn, mouth open in a shout, as a massive wooden Trojan horse bursts through a burning stone temple behind him. The scene is filled with orange flames, thick smoke, and flying embers. The style is epic cinematic with dramatic lighting and high detail. Visually notable is the Trojan horse’s enormous size and textured wood grain dominating the upper frame while the warrior appears small yet central in the foreground. On-screen text at the top lists Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o with Zendaya and Charlize Theron. Lower text reads “A FILM BY CHRISTOPHER NOLAN”, “THE ODYSSEY”, “16.07.26”, and “SHOT ENTIRELY WITH IMAX FILM CAMERAS”.
