Complex 50 best R&B albums of the 2000s

@meghan.fatouPeeling back the lower half of Complex's ongoing 50 Greatest R&B Albums countdown reveals some serious debate. At number 41 sits Erykah Badu with New Amerykah Part One (4th World War). Teedra Moses claims number 40 for Complex Simplicity, while Mary J. Blige holds down number 39 with No More Drama. Amerie takes the spot at 38 for All I Have, and Alicia Keys lands at 37 thanks to Songs in A Minor. Bilal follows close behind at 36 with 1st Born Second, and Brandy rounds out the next tier at 35 for Full Moon. Chris Brown secures number 34 with his self-titled album Chris Brown, capping off this section at 33 where Maxwell appears with BLACKsummers'night.

    About this photo

The image is a collage featuring four prominent R&B artists: Usher, Beyoncé, Quavo, and Lil Wayne. They are presented in a stylized, grid-like layout with neon text overlays. The mood is celebratory and nostalgic, highlighting iconic figures from the 2000s R&B scene. Beyoncé's elaborate, bejeweled outfit and Usher's intense gaze are particularly striking. The text reads "50 best R&B albums of the 2000s".
