TVP World bias claims over Nawrocki directive

@jolyonTVP World, Poland's state-funded broadcaster, is facing bias allegations after an internal newsroom message from chief Adam Jasser told staff to push the case that President Nawrocki is to blame for the constitutional crisis. The reasoning given: by declining to administer oaths to judges chosen by parliament, Nawrocki created the standoff. The message also says he has no business reviewing those appointments, calling his part that of "just a notary," and it wraps with "Please make sure we drive this point home." That sits on top of the fight over the Constitutional Tribunal. A group of judges owing allegiance to Prime Minister Donald Tusk's parliamentary majority took steps against the tribunal's president and deputy, saying the court's leadership was stonewalling five newly elected judges whose appointments Nawrocki won't recognize. The tribunal president's answer is that no judge can sit without a presidential oath. The result was protests, police moving in, and Nawrocki reversing course mid-flight on his way to Senegal, landing back in Warsaw. What makes the allegations sting is that TVP World belongs to the public broadcaster, which is supposed to cover the country's institutions without fear or favor.

The image focuses on three men, Karol Nawrocki, Adam Jasser, and Donald Tusk, superimposed over a scene of protest in front of a building labeled "TRYBUNAL KONSTYTUCYJNY." Polish flags and pyrotechnics fill the background, suggesting a tense and politically charged atmosphere. A statue of Lady Justice with a blindfold and scales is prominently featured. The style is a dramatic news montage. ON-SCREEN TEXT: KAROL NAWROCKI PRESIDENT OF POLAND ADAM JASSER TVP WORLD NEWSROOM CHIEF DONALD TUSK PRIME MINISTER OF POLAND Internal message: Nawrocki caused the crisis by refusing to take oaths from justices selected by parliament. He has no authority to be a second check on their appointment. He is just a notary. Please make sure we drive this point home.
