@FootynewsGabriel Heinze walked into the Manchester United locker room after a 2-1 defeat, having been down 2-0 while the team played terribly, and found Roy Keane staring him down. The Argentine didn't speak English well enough to catch every word, yet he sensed an insult in that silence and fired back, which immediately made Keane stand up and strike him. Before this explosion of violence, Keane had actually driven him to training, but once the hit landed, Heinze started going alone instead. Alex Ferguson called him the next day for a chat where he told him not to apologize because Keane was already past it. Heinze went back to training shaking with fear, marking Keane hard during a crossing drill until they collided. That impact led to Keane telling him to keep field actions on the pitch separate from locker room drama. They ended up building a solid relationship after that exchange.
